  • What do you love about the area?:We are close to town but yet far enough away and we have great parks and walking paths. You can get to downtown Forest Lake in 5 minutes and it’s an easy commute to the cities or airport if you jump on 35.


  • What are some great things about Forest Lake?: Forest Lake has events all Summer long. Every Tuesday night there are events in the park and they also have a farmers market.


  • What do you enjoy about your neighborhood?:Our neighborhood is quiet and friendly.


  • Parks and playgrounds nearby: We enjoy going to Bells Park.


  • What restaurants are nearby?:We love to eat at Za's, they have good Italian food. Applebee's and Vannelli's have outside patios for dining in the summer nights.


  • What grocery stores or nearby shopping if there?: We have a Walmart and a Cub Foods for grocery shopping. White Bear Lake is just a few miles away and there is a Kowalski’s there.


  • Information about the schools in our area: We have great schools not far from us. Our kids walk to their school events for practice because it’s less than a mile away the High School and Junior High. We also have great charter schools!


  • What doyou do for interests and hobbies near the property?: We are in a central location, less than 40 minutes from the Twin Cities and Stillwater and only 2 hours from Duluth. We live near several lakes, so we can access the water anytime and there are great walking paths right off of Highway 61. Also in the Summer, Forest Lake has a festive July 4th celebration!


  • Tells us all about any additional property highlights, upgrades, recent updates that have been done:  We built the house in October of 1973. Many changes have been done to the house since that time. We have remodeled the kitchen several times and put on an addition above the garage. It is absolutely perfect for entertaining and close to town and the schools. There is a pool, sauna, patio areas, a beautiful deck, landscaped yard, 2 fireplaces, one gas and one wooding burning. We have a great bonus room with a pool table and a big screen TV. It’s a perfect place for your kids and their friends to hang out. You will get to know their friends and always know where they are. We put on a new roof in 2007, a new furnace in 2007 and new windows on the main house in 2001.


  • Key points about the house that we were drawn to when we first looked at the home: We were one of the first ones to build here, it was very open when we started. It’s a great neighborhood, we didn’t have to worry about the kids. It has built up fast and we have had some great times here, now it is time to downsize. Our rooms are a bit more spacious than the ones built in the new homes today. The backyard is private with a 6’ fence all around it, it has a pool and great entertaining space.


  • Average utility costs?:  

           - Forest lake utility bill is $100 per quarter.

           - Cable/Internet is around $130.00

           - Energy bill varies from a low of $112.51 to a high of 262.30. Depends on how much  

             you use the gas fireplace.

           - HOA is $230.00
