What do you love about the town your home is in?
Some of the things we love about the town of Forest Lake is that it has that small town feel but big town space. Forest Lake has great restaurants, shopping, biking and walking trails, summer, winter events, with convenient access to both Minneapolis and St. Paul freeways. Along with convenient freeway access to the city there is great access to the freeway to head north on the weekends.
If you are in a neighborhood, what great things do you do there?
The most enjoyable thing about living in this area is living on the lake. Boating here is the best. Going out on your pontoon/speed boat in the summer and hooking up with other neighbors and just spending the afternoon together are some of the best times. In the winter enjoying going out your backyard and heading out to ice fish and meeting out on the ice for the afternoon it just doesn't get much better than that.
My favorite restaurants around this home are:
Some of our favorite night outs in town are spent at Vannellis on the Lake on Friday orSaturday night date night for steak for two or Wednesday night Crab night. We also enjoy Stella's for Lobster Mac n Cheese. And living on the lake Aqua is real nice for taking the boat over and entertaining friends.
Grocery stores I love to shop at?
Grocery shopping is convenient and only 5 minutes away to WalMart or Cub. And if you like a great savings Forest Lake now has Alde's.
Key points about the property that I/we were drawn to?
Some of the reason we were drawn to build in this area was because of the quiet street, safety of the neighborhood as there is only one way in and out to this home. Living on the cannel of Forest Lake verses the main lake you don't have all the boat traffic and noise, you don't have to spend your days each spring and end of summer to put out or take in your dock. It can stay in all year round. On the cannel your dock stays in all year round. And living on the cannel there is no clean up of shoreline so you spend more time enjoying the lake. And you'll love relaxing with the family on the large deck with Trex decking material.
Some of the features of this home that our family most enjoyed you will find as you enter the large travertine floor entryway to the large family room with cozy gas starting fireplace with Italian marble and wood surround. Walk out from family room to a large private backyard leading to the cannel with large dock for fishing and docking your boat. Large master with infinity mirrored Italian marble Jacuzzi tub, his and her closets, sliding doors leading to a large deck over looking the cannel and bay. Large kitchen with granite counter tops, large custom designed center island with wine rack and computer table. Brazilian cherry hardwood floors in kitchen and formal dining room. Italian marble floors and granite counters in both walk through bath rooms. You'll also enjoy the many recent updates. Such as most of the windows, sliding doors and skylights were all updated in 2010, along with many updates and remodeling that was done to both the bath and the kitchen in 2012.
Why people should move to this area; why I/we were attracted?
We love this area because of the quietness location of being at the end of the street, the lake is our #1, easy 35 minute commute to either Minneapolis or St. Paul, small town, accessibility to major shopping of Target and Wal-Mart, Menards, Home Depot, walking and biking trails.
Any great schools or other things to mention?
Forest Lake has great high school with great sport programs, charter schools, middle schools, elementary schools, and several wonderful church's nearby , Eagle Brook Church, St Peters Church.
Anything else you can think of to attract a potential buyer?
We love the lake living and feel it is the best around. We raised our family on this lake. We have enjoyed many weekend and evenings on the lake dining out, boating, entertaining, having fires in the fire pit in the backyard, fishing off the dock, walking in the neighborhood, taking bike rides and watching little league base ball or high school football games. This is a great place to raise a family and build memories.
What did you do for interests and hobbies near to the property?
I love walking my dog in the neighborhood lots of neighbors like to walk their dogs around here.
We have a great walking and biking trail.
