What we Love about the area: We love the private, partially wooded lot which is great for viewing lots of wildlife. Just today we came home to 6 deer in our yard. We also love to bird watch outside of our windows. In addition, we love the walking path and nearby park. We love that we are have a large city lot with the privacy of the country.



Great things about the city: The things I love about St. Paul are the many parks, biking paths, theater/cultural events, festivals and community feel. The area of St. Paul that we're in feels private but has a great city access, which we love.


List of great restaurants nearby: We love going for breakfast at the Little Oven and getting a pizza at Angelo's. You also can't beat the burgers at the 5-8 Tavern. Our favorite fast food options are Chipotle, Caribou and Panera.


Wonderful grocery shopping nearby: We love shopping at the Mississippi Market Co-op on East 7th St. because they have great fresh, local food. In addition, we're regulars at Costco and Target, both in Maplewood. There is also Cub and Rainbow very close. 


Great things about the Schools: There are several options for school choice in the area. Mounds Park Academy is within walking distance. Hill Murray School is also very close. Great public school options nearby are Nokomis Montessori, Academia Cesar Chavez and L'Etoile Du Nord French Immersion School.


What did you do for interests and hobbies near to the property? We love to walk on the Furness Parkway walking path that connects to our backyard. Through the backyard and two blocks away, there is a city recreation center, tennis and basketball courts, baseball fields and playground. Also, we love biking or walking on the Gateway Trail, which is only a mile away. This trail connects with several other trails in the Twin Cities.

Tells us all about any additional property highlights, upgrades, recent updates that have been done: Other property highlights and recent updates would include a new furnace, new well, new driveway, new sprinkler system, 2 new gas fireplaces, new outdoor fire pit, new leaf guard gutters, new shed, heated garage, heated tile floor in master bath, newly built enclosed tree fort, reverse osmosis water system and all kitchen appliances are new in the last three years.

Other key points we were drawn to when we bought the home: We we bought the property, we were drawn to the privacy and country feel of a very large city lot. Including the golf course driving range and city property, there are several acres of land to use. The property backs up to a city walking path called Furness Parkway. We loved the large wraparound deck off of the living room and master bedroom. We were also drawn to the open floor plan, master bedroom and master bath. The master bedroom has big windows overlooking the wooded property. The master bath has an oversized jacuzzi tub and heated tile floors.
