What do you love about the town your home is in?
A few things we loved about Forest Lake is that it is out of the "big-city" and has that great "small-town" feel. We just love the feeling and atmosphere of the Forest Lake community.
If you are in a neighborhood, what great things do you do there?
Our neighborhood is great for wild life. We see lots of deer, birds, wild turkeys and the occasional fox. We may be a short drive from the major down town areas, but you still feel like you're "out-in-the-country" when you see these great animals.
My favorite restaurants around this home are:
Well it's hard to beat eating on and or near the Lake. Acqua (on the lake) is a great choice, and we also enjoyed Applebees and The Old Log Cabin.
Grocery stores I love to shop at?
We have several choices for both grocery or just shopping in general. We don't seem to have to go far for anything we really want or need. There are plenty of places to choose from.
Key points about the property that I/we were drawn to?
We actually built here because we were drawn to the lot. It's a wonderful 15 acre lot and it has several attractive ponds around it as well. There is an eagles nest on the other side of the wetlands that we love to keep an eye on and many mature trees on the property as well.
Why people should move to this area; why I/we were attracted?
As mentioned earlier we really enjoy the fact that Forest Lake feels very small town, has a great lake and everything else we could need, but also is just a short commute to some of the bigger cities like Minneapolis and St. Paul. Forest Lake is just a great place to call home.
Any great schools or other things to mention?
There are several school options in Forest Lake including public schools, Spanish and Chinese immersion schools, a Catholic School (St. Peters) and an academic focused charter school called North Lakes.
Anything else you can think of to attract a potential buyer?
We love to sit out on the deck in the shade of the oak trees. We also have a couple of acres of property with invisible fence so the dog can hangout with us outside.
What did you do for interests and hobbies near to the property?
We have enjoyed walking, running and biking from our house. There are some great paths around the area and great cycling routes from our house over to the bike trails or around Square Lake.
