What do you love about the town your home is in?
The things I love about this part of Roseville are the great parks which have recently been upgraded with new playground equipment; top school district (Mounds View); easy access to the highway and only about 15 minutes to Downtown St. Paul or Minneapolis; convenient shopping and many restaurants nearby with Rosedale Mall and Har Mar Mall just minutes away. Within walking distance is the Roseville Oval ice skating rink, Lake Josephine Beach, University of Northwestern, and 5 different parks including Central Park. I love that Roseville is so close to the Cities and yet it's very small town feel with lots of community involvement, friendly neighbors, and a very safe and clean neighborhood.
If you are in a neighborhood, what great things do you do there?
Our neighborhood is great for friendly neighbors who are often out walking the dog, jogging to the Lake, working in their yard, or families riding their bikes to one of the many playgrounds. We often have B-B-Q's in our back yard and our block participates in the National Night Out every summer with a pot luck style block party. Our neighborhood is a very family friendly and safe place to live as we all help watch out for each other. We have a good mix of neighbors ranging from families with young children to retired couples and everything in between!

We love to eat at Panera Bread, Big Bowl, Noodles and Company, Applebee's, Perkins, Baker's Square, The Good Earth, Red Lobster, Smash Burger, Freestyle Yogurt, Old Chicago, Eddington's Soups. We also love several of the restaurants that are within walking distance from our house such as Grumpy's Bar and Grill, Z-Pizza, Bruegger's Bagels, Caribou and Dairy Queen!!
Grocery stores I love to shop at?
Grocery stores are plentiful with the closest being Byerly's which is within walking distance. They have great BOGO deals there and always super fresh produce! We also love to shop at Target, Cub, and Trader Joe's which are all only 5 minutes away. We also like to grocery shop at Costco for larger purchases and that is only 15 minutes away.
Key points about the property that I/we were drawn to?
When we bought the property we were drawn to the large fenced-in private back yard where we love to grill and eat out on the deck in the summer. We also love our spacious family room where we often entertain and have large gatherings of guests for Christmas, Easter, baby showers, etc. We also love the hardwood floors in our home, large bedrooms, and the spacious livable apartment-like basement area that has its own room, bathroom and living room. We love having our own private Master Bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and heated floors for the cold winter nights! We have done many updates to the property including completely remodeling both upstairs bathrooms with beautiful tile work, jacuzzi tub and heated floors in Master; kitchen remodel with tiled floors, new QUARTZ countertops, gorgeous tiled backsplash, newer appliances; many new windows and front and back doors. In the family room, we added crown molding, tiled the entry from the garage, and have a tiled built-in buffet in the dining room. We built a new deck on the back when we moved in and added lots of nice landscaping around the house.
Why people should move to this area; why I/we were attracted?
We love this area because of the perfect location. It really is the perfect balance between offering all the conveniences of great shopping, easy highway access, close to the Twin Cities, plenty of nearby businesses, while also having access to beautiful parks and lakes within walking distance, safe neighborhood, and GREAT schools.
Any great schools or other things to mention?
Mounds View School District is ranked among the top 10 in the State! They have an amazing ECFE program, great Elementary and Middle schools with small class sizes, and academically rigorous High Schools. Valentine Hills was identified as a state-wide leader for creating positive learning environments for students. Washington Post ranked both District high schools in Top 10 ‘Most Challenging’ in state May 1, 2015 -- Irondale and Mounds View High. Mounds View Public Schools was one of only three school districts in Minnesota to earn Best Communities for Music Education designation.
Anything else you can think of to attract a potential buyer?
We enjoy spending a lot of time in our large back yard, grilling and eating on the deck, playing in the sandbox, planting our garden. We also love to take many walks around our neighborhood and visit with our neighbors who are usually out and about working in their yards, or going for a walk.
What did you do for interests and hobbies near to the property?
We love walking/riding our bikes to Lake Josephine Beach and Park and getting a DQ treat there! We also love going for a quick walk/ride around Applewood Pond or walking to one of the 5 nearby playgrounds to play. We love going to Central Park to see music performances, play at the different playgrounds, visit the Nature Center and walk along the new boardwalk, smell and identify all the different flowers in the big garden, or just jog there for exercise. In the winter, we like to go to the Roseville Oval to jog/walk around their indoor track for free and our daughter took ice skating lessons there.
