What do you love about the town your home is in?

Hugo seems to have the best of both worlds. Small town feel, but with a great level of amenities and close enough to the "bigger" cities that many like for showing, entertainment and/or work. Hugo is a quiet town located 20 mins. north of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. People who live in Hugo MN often are commuting to jobs in Minneapolis or St. Paul. Hugo has undertaken some great expansion projects lately to improve traffic flow and access to 35E – the main freeway to and from the downtown areas.


If you are in a neighborhood, what great things do you do there?

Our neighborhood is just filled with great people and families. We have a pool and have loved using that as a great gathering place for all of the friends that we have made in the neighborhood. Whoever lives here will certainly feel welcomed. We all look out for each other and yet give each other help or space when needed. It's just a great place to live.

There are also a lot of great places to eat in Hugo. For example there is Blue Heron Grill which has great out door seating in the summer and a fire place in the winter. There is also Amian – Chinese food, Asian Fusion, both Wise-Guys and Red Savoy's Pizza and Blacksmith’s Restaurant (an icon of the “old Hugo” community).

Grocery stores I love to shop at?

We always liked shopping at the larger Cub Food, but we also loved Grundhoffer’s Old Fashioned Meats when grilling out around the pool.

Key points about the property that I/we were drawn to?

There are many key points about the home that we feel separate it from other homes in the area or market. All of the exterior highlights we've mentioned earlier make it a dream for entertaining, but the interior is also a perfect setup for this. We have tons of space inside to either enjoy as a family or have everyone over. Multiple fire places, multiple finished living and family areas to relax or entertain, a great kitchen and wonder master suite with large tub for relaxing along with separate shower.

Why people should move to this area; why I/we were attracted?

As you can see by some of the other points we've stated above we really just have so much to love here in both our neighborhood and Hugo in general. The park system is great, the people have been a real blessing and we've loved our home and in particular the out side of our home for great spring, summer and fall family or entertaining purposes. The screened in porch is a dream when you want to be out, but are not interested in fighting off the mosquitos, we love the pool, deck, extra garage space, yard and everything we have. It's a dream setup.

What did you do for interests and hobbies near to the property?

Hugo is a great person who loves to be outside and spend time at parks or on trails. We have loved Hugo for those things, but as we've mentioned we also feel that our home is ideal for entertaining. So very often we would have other over to our place rather than feeling we needed to go anywhere else.
