What do you love about the area?: We love our land, the close distance to the cities, and all of the wonderful restaurant choices nearby. Our neighborhood is full of hard-working and kind people. There are a good mix of young families and those who have older children getting ready to head off to college.


What are some great things about Stacy?: We love that this house has been a way for us to get great land with an easy commute to the cities where we work. We are five minutes away from the local library and North Branch schools, which offer many different community opportunities.


What restaurants are nearby?: Our favorite haunts are the Old Oak Inn, Tomo sushi, Don Julio's, and the Pizza Pub in North Branch. There is such a good variety of places that I don't think we could pick a favorite! When we want to dress up and go out we head down to Forest Lake to either Aqua or Vanelli's by the Lake-- they're both great for a special occasion.


What grocery stores or nearby shopping if there?: The one we go to most often is the County Market in North Branch, which is between a 5 and 10 minute drive away from our home. If we need to make a quick stop for something, we usually stop at Aldi or Cub on our way home from work in the cities. There's a great Farmer's Market on Saturdays in North Branch as well if you like to eat fresh and local produce during the growing season!


What do you do for interests and hobbies near the property?: We bike and walk the trail that goes along 35--it has beautiful views and you can follow it for as long or short a time as you would like. We also do a lot of gardening on our property, and are members of the Forest Lake YMCA, where Ella teaches yoga. There are book clubs at the local library, but we just haven't had the time to get started with them!


Tells us about any additional property highlights, upgrades, recent updates that have been done: Other property highlights include that the siding and roof were both updated in 2012. Bathroom has been newly renovated as well as the kitchen cabinets.


Key points about the house that we were drawn to when we first looked at the home: We were drawn to the large pond, which we enjoy ice skating on in the winter, the wood stove in the basement, the large dining room, the woods, and this well-maintained home. We loved that there was no immediate work that needed to be done, and we could just enjoy living here and enjoying all of the creature comforts that this property provides.
